Education:

In 2003, she graduated from Riga Stradins University, obtaining a doctor's degree.
In 2012, she completed a full study programme “Residency in Medicine”, obtaining a degree in genetics.

Genetic consultations may be required if:

• there have been repeated cases of miscarriage
• the couple has a child with a genetic disorder
• there have been cases of genetic disorders in the family
• genetic screening tests or ultrasounds of the fetus have indicated some health problems, which might be related to genetic disorders.
